Introducing the 2025 IMP Squad

This year, we received a RECORD 323 applications to join the 2025 IMP Squad. Following a national tryout tour and lots of careful consideration from Jack Stevens, IMP Head Coach, we’re incredibly proud to announce the 12 Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people who have been selected.

The 2025 IMP Squad will train for the biggest marathon in the world in November — the TCS New York City Marathon — showing the power of choosing to do hard things. Squad members will meet at set times throughout the year to participate in a week-long workshop, kicking off in Canberra this May.

Throughout the six-month health, wellbeing, and leadership journey, IMP Squad members will be supported Jack and former world marathon champion Robert de Castella AO MBE, founder and director of the Indigenous Marathon Foundation.
