The IMF WARRIOR Run was established by the Indigenous Marathon Foundation in 2015 to celebrate and elevate positive male leaders and recognise their role in community. Each year, we select an exceptional male role model as the ‘face’ of the WARRIOR Run medal. These men are selected based on their significant contributions they make to their community. This year, we are proud to celebrate the achievements of Wiradjuri man and Dubbo local, IMP Graduate Nathan Riley.
Organised by Nathan Riley, the Dubbo WARRIOR Run event kicks off Dubbo’s annual NAIDOC Week events and celebrates men in community who are giving it their best.
When: 10am Sunday, September 19, 2021
Where: Ollie Robins Oval, Dubbo (behind Riverdale Shopping Centre)
Events: Kids Dash Colour Run, 5km, 10km.
Come down and celebrate the oldest living culture in the world by simply putting one foot in front of the other.
Registrations are free and all participants will receive a medal. Join us for a smoking ceremony, Aboriginal dance, stalls and an Elders tent, and come and say hello to our special guest, world marathon champion and founder of the IMF Rob de Castella.

Can anyone participate in the IMF Father’s Day WARRIOR Run?
Yes, the IMF Warrior Run is an event that is open to everyone.
Am I eligible for a discount fee?
This is a FREE event.
Is the IMF Warrior Run a competitive event or can you participate just for fun?
If you want to participate for fun – great!
Everyone, across all three event distances are encouraged to post your run/walk on the IMF WARRIOR Run STRAVA Club – including images – whether you are running competitively, or just for fun.
There will be no prizes awarded or results posted for any of the event distances.
All participant, across all three event distances, will receive a medal.
What are the age categories for each event if I choose to compete in the 10k?
1st, 2nd & 3rd placegetter prizes are awarded in each age group for male and female participants:

Junior – 18 years and under (as on 6 September 2020)

Senior – 19-40 years (as on 6 September 2020)

Master – 41+ years (as on 6 September 2020)
What is STRAVA? And how do I get involved?
STRAVA is an app that you can download for free that helps you track your weekly, monthly, and yearly walking and running training. IMF has several STRAVA groups- one specific to IMF WARRIOR Run Club, one that is IMF’s Official Club page and other Club pages specific to the different IMF activities & events. We encourage you to sign up to both and get involved online.
