FAQ's

What is the IMF WARRIOR Run?

The IMF WARRIOR Run was established by Rob de Castella’s Indigenous Marathon Foundation (IMF) in 2015 coinciding with Father’s Day to acknowledge and celebrate positive male role models and leaders. Over the years, the event – usually held in Sydney – has evolved to feature an Indigenous-focused festival as a way to offer a unique cultural experience to people from all walks of life. This year, the WARRIOR Run is a week long free virtual event!

An exceptional male role model is selected each year as the ‘face’ of the WARRIOR Run finishers medal. These men are selected based on the significant contributions they make to their community, as a leader and role model. Nathan Riley, Wiradjuri man and Indigenous Marathon Project Graduate #33 is this years Warrior.

Participants can register for the event by selecting one of three running/walking options – 2km Dash, 5km and 10km run.

The first 1000 people to register for the free virtual event will receive an exclusive medal with free Australia-wide postage. A flat rate of $20 postage for international participants will apply.
